Alex, a 35-year-old actor, is living a deep existential crisis: his love affair is not as it used to be, once Carmen, his beloved actress climbs to the top of success, and he as an actor he no longer receives any role.

Feeling useless, Alex thinks of an artistic experiment and goes to a prison to make a play with prisoners. If selected, the play will be performed on the big stage of the Odeon Theater.

Alex chooses the play "A Midsummer Night's Dream" by W. Shakespeare.

Although at first the prisoners are not at all happy with their role as actors, later on they become excited when they come up with the idea of an escape through the hatch of the theater.
